PHSMARTE OZONE SYSTEM
The PhSmarte OZONE System also combats iron and hydrogen sulfide found in well water. However, when Bacteria is detected and/or iron and hydrogen sulfide levels exceed the recommended levels of our PhSmarte AIR System, the PhSmarte OZONE system is a necessary disinfectant to treat iron, sulfur, manganese and bacteria.

PhSmarte OZONE System kills bacteria instantly with the Enhanced Ozone Generator.
Ozone is a tri-atomic oxygen (O3) which has high oxidation capabilities. It is produced from air and high voltage electricity, think lightening. Ozone is the most powerful, quickest and efficient disinfectant in the world. Along with being the best disinfectant, the use of ozone for whole house water treatment has many other benefits.

HOW IT WORKS:
STEP 1: Ozone is injected and stored in the top of the media tank. As the water comes into contact with the ozone, E Coli and other forms of bacteria are killed instantly. Ozone is the strongest oxidizing agent in the world. Ferrous Iron, Manganese and H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) are oxidized into a solid form.
STEP 2: These oxidized solids are now filtered using an exclusive filtration media (Katalox Light). Iron, Manganese and Sulfur now in a solid form are removed.
The end result is clear, odor free water. The PhSmarte OZONE System uses the exclusive Vortech Water Distribution & Cleaning System. This system uses 30% less backwash and the water cleans the filtration media 80% better.

BACTERIA WATER TESTS
According to the EPA, over 60% of homeowners using well water are not aware that there is bacteria present in their well. Ask our Water Specialist to test your home for Bacteria. Our certified water tests can detect coliform and e-coli bacteria and our PhSmarte OZONE System will remove it. You can rest easy knowing your water is clean and free of harmful contaminants and bacteria.
MANGANESE
Manganese is a metal that is required by the body in tiny amounts, however it can be toxic at elevated levels. It is more common among shallow wells. EPA's National Primary Drinking Water Regulations place more emphasis on arsenic levels but Manganese levels should be monitored as well. A growing number of studies have shown that manganese is not good for the human body and should be removed from your water. Our PhSmarte OZONE System will remove this metal from water.
PRESSURE SWITCH
The PhSmarte OZONE system will backwash and clean itself using Katalox filtration media. Be sure your well pumb pressure switch has no less than 40/60 lbs or greater as the system requires 50lbs of pressure to adequately clean the PhSmarte Air filter.
OZONE VS. CHLORINE
Ozone is a 52% stronger than chlorine and kills bacteria instantly. An additional benefits the elimination of chlorine usage as a regenerate. This can save hundreds of dollars a year in the purchase of expensive chlorine costs.
